Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is an electronic device which enables high-risk consumers to receive help in the event of an emergency. PERS services are limited to consumers who live alone or are alone for significant parts of the day, are significantly at risk for falls, have no regular caretaker for extended periods of time or lives with an individual who may be unable to promptly call for help in the event of an emergency. The consumer shall be capable of using the device.
