November 7, 2017 - Municipal Election

January 31 2016 Annual report due locally in office by 4:00 PM
February 6 First day to obtain petition packets
February 14 First day to secure signatures for nomination petitions
March 7 Last day to file nomination petitions
March 8 First day to circulate and file nomination papers, nominating Minor Party/Body candidates
March 15 Drawing lots for position on ballot - 10:00 AM Public Hearing Room Government Center
March 22 Last day to withdraw nominating petitions
March 27 First day to receive Official Absentee Ballot Applications
April 4 Last day for candidates for statewide offices, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth
April 17 Last day an elector may register to vote or make any changes to their voting record to be eligible for the  Primary Election
May 5 Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Board of Elections, as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00 PM
May 9 Last day, under certain conditions, to file Application for Official Absentee Ballot
May 11 Sample ballots available for inspection
May 12 Last day to receive Official Absentee Ballot in County Board of Elections by 5:00 PM
May 16 PRIMARY - 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
May 17 First day to register after Primary
May 19 Official Computation begins at 9:00 AM
June 2 At 12:00 Noon cast lots in case of tie votes ....Location TBA
June 15 Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file post-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Bard of Elections as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00 PM 
August 1 Last day to circulate and file nomination papers nominating Minor Party/Body candidates
August 8 Last day for candidates who have filed nomination papers to withdraw
August 14 Last day for candidates nominated at the Primary to withdraw
August 24 Last day to file substituted nominations
September 18 First day to receive Official Absentee Ballot Applications
September 26 Last day for candidates for statewide offices, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth

October 10

Last day an elector may register to vote or make change to their voting record to be eligible for the General Election
October 27 Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file pre-election expense reports in the office of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and/or the County Board of Elections, as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00 PM
October 31 Last day, under certain conditions, to file Application for Official Absentee Ballot
November 2 Sample ballots available for inspection
November 3 Last day to receive Official Absentee Ballots in County Board of Elections by 5:00 PM
November 7 ELECTION - 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
November 8 First day to register after Election
November 10 Official Computation starts at 9:00 AM
November 24 At 12:00 noon cast lots in case of tie votes....Location TBA
December 7 Last day for ALL candidates, treasurers of political committees and lobbyists to file post-election expense reports in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth and/or the County Board of Elections as the case may be, locally in office by 4:00 PM
