Due to the COVID-19 virus Pandemic, effective Monday November 30, 2020, and until further notice the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office will be accepting and processing Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms applications and renewal via U.S. Mail only.
Please mail(U.S. Mail) your completed application including signature along with a check or money order in the amount of $20 payable to the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office, and a copy of the front and back of your valid PA Driver's License with current address, or an official PA photo identification card. Cash payments will not be accepted.

Please mail the blue qualification card along with the below items to the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office for processing:
The Pennsylvania State Police announced today, December 15, 2020 that Governor Tom Wolf has granted an additional extension to license to carry firearms permits. Permits which expired on March 19,2020 or later have been extended to March 31, 2021. The extension is necessary due to the closure of some county courthouses and sheriff's offices, as well as other protective measures being taken to limit the spread of COVID-19.
Gun permit applications are accepted daily Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 3:55 pm.
No applications will be accepted after 3:55 pm.
