Suspended Service Announcements

DISTRICT ATTORNEY JIM MARTIN ANNOUNCES FUNCTIONS OF OFFICE DURING COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS - Friday, March 20, 2020

District Attorney Jim Martin announced today in light of federal, state and local restrictions due to COVID-19, the office remains equipped to handle any requests from law enforcement for assistance as well as respond to any emergencies. 

All sworn officers, i.e., county detectives, are working as usual. The District Attorney’s office will also continue operations, but as effective yesterday with a reduced staff that includes 1/3 of assistant district attorneys on site daily as well as 2/3 assistant district attorneys working remotely. This ratio also applies to the office’s administrative staff. 

The District Attorney’s office will cover any emergency matters before the court. Pursuant to the March 18, 2020 order of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court declaring a general,  statewide judicial emergency; all jury and non-jury trials are postponed through April 3, 2020.

Government Center Closed To Visitors - Sunday, March 15, 2020
- Effective immediately, Lehigh County Government Center located at 17 S. 7th Street in Allentown, will be closed to all visitors and walk-ins. This includes anyone without a Government Center issued identification badge.
