Permanency Planning

The Permanency Planning Unit strives to ensure children and youth have permanent and positive life time connections.  For children who have been freed for adoption a caseworker is assigned to support the family and youth through the adoption process.

Community members interested in being an adoptive resource for a child should contact the State Wide Adoption Network or a local foster care agency.  This will allow them to start the process of completing a study to be an adoptive family.  For more information, please go to  http://adoptpakids.org

If a youth has not yet been matched with a forever family, a caseworker is assigned to work with the State Wide Adoption Network to match a child to an adoptive family.. The Permanency Planning Unit is divided into three specific units which gives caseworkers the ability to specialize in their specific area: Please use the links to the left to see more information on these units
