The Recorder of Deeds Division administers the oath of office and records notary bonds and commissions. The bond MUST be completed before arriving to our office. Please be sure to bring valid photo identification. The recording fee is $33.50 followed by the registration of your signature with the Civil Division for $4.00.
Name & Address Change:Contact the PA Department of State for notary name and address change requirements.
Electronic Notary:The Recorder of Deeds Division is a participating county that provides verification of identity for electronic notaries. There is no fee for this service. Further information on applying for an Electronic Notary Commission can be obtained from the PA Department of State website.
