Experience with Students of Asperger's

Experience of Students of Asperger's

Seeking Parents of children ages 6 to 18 years old who have been identified as having Asperger's Syndrome.  Teachers who have experience with Asperger's Syndrome and adults who have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome are also invited to participate.

  • The primary purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the ways in which the schools are meeting or not meeting the needs of children and adolescents with Asperger's Syndrome.  The goal is to learn more about the types of challengers and successes that children and adolescents with Asperger's Syndrome have experienced in the schools.
  • Participants' responses will be used to help teachers and other school personnel better understand the unique challenges and rewards of working with individuals with Asperger's Syndrome.  Some specific responses will be shared directly with teachers in future training workshops and your responses will help guide future research efforts to more directly address the areas seen as important by individuals with Asperger's Syndrome and their families.
  • This study is being conducted by Mark J. Sciutto, PH.D. (Associate Professor of Psychology) and Jeffrey Rudski, Ph.D. (Professor of Psychology) at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.
