We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, allowing our bodies and minds to recharge. However, for those who experience a lack of sleep due to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), the impacts on physical and mental health can be significant. Left untreated, OSA can increase your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Untreated OSA has also been linked to higher risk of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, severe psychological distress and even suicidal thoughts.
Join Dr. Karen Jablonski, physician clinical reviewer, and Dr. Jamie Hanna, medical director, as they address the impacts of OSA on our physical and mental health, and OSA diagnosis and treatment.
