April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month! Although most distractions are avoidable, some distractions are impossible to completely prevent – instead they must be managed. Driving requires your full attention. A recent study found that texting and visual-manual tasks increase the odds of crash involvement by 83 percent. The National Safety Council says drivers talking on cell phones can miss seeing up to 50 percent of their driving environments, even if they're using hands free technology.
When using County vehicles, always remember to be alert and exercise caution!
