Angel Flight East services patients who need to visit distant facilities not served by commercial airlines. They help patients whose condition makes it difficult or impossible to use public transportation. Angel Flight East flies from Maine to the Carolinas, west to Ohio and all points in between. For destinations beyond their reach, they can often connect with similar volunteer pilot organizations and relay patients to more distant locations. They are not an emergency service, and they don't fly ambulance planes. Anyone who flies with them must be ambulatory and medically stable, able to board an aircraft with little or no assistance, and able to fly in a light aircraft without on-board medical support. The best way to see if they can help you or someone you know is to give them a call.
